An easy 10-miler this morning. A very light coating of snow covered the roadways, making for a treacherous jaunt. There was just enough snow to make it slippery and you couldn’t tell where the ice was under foot. Luckily, I had no spills. I did get nearly blinded many times by these huge snowflakes that landed in my eyes.

“Inspired” doesn’t begin to describe how I felt after reading the paper this morning. What Maddie, you and your husband are doing is just so awesome.
I will pray for Maddie and your family. Thank you for bringing such cheer to this day.

Emily- You are amazing! I know that your “easy” 10 mile run was followed by a busy 12 hour shift at the hospital. Just read the article in Portland Press Herald this morning about Two Trials. Your tremendous love for Maddie and your commitment to being the best mother possible really stood out. I am so glad you are able to continue to pursue your Olympic goals. You and your family are an inspiration yo us all. Great Web site too. Always wishing you the best, Deece

Emily:
I logged onto the Press Herald website from here in Mexico today and was able to catch up on both your trials. Maddie looks great and I commend your strength to turn her illness into a win-win for kids with ALL.
Muchas amor desde Cabo San Lucas y buen suerte en Abril….

Emily,
A truly inspirational story. I too have dealt with cancer in my family. I raised $9,000 in 2005 in memory of my mom. This year I hope to run another triathlon for Team in Training. Best of luck in the trials. I will be cheering for you. Maddie, yourself, and your husband are in my daily prayers now. I donated to Two Trials today. I think you will surpass your goal of $52,400!

Emily,
I too read your article the Portland Press. It saddened me so much it left me out of sorts and in a bit of a funk today. It’s hard for me to believe that Maddie, the little red chili pepper in Ellie’s music class (Halloween ‘04), could now be struggling to fight leukemia. With Meribel only months younger than Maddie, it definitely hit home as a mom. It’s something about kids and cancer that doesn’t make sense, and that caused me to put myself on the bone marrow transplant list in 2005, and since then have been growing out my hair for donation to Locks for Love. I commend your efforts, both to continue running, as well as, raise a substantial amount of money for a worthy cause. Keep up the fight. I will be checking in on you both from time to time, praying, and cheering you on. I hope to see you and Maddie at one of your fundraising events. Thinking of you,
Molly Collin

they want to come into contact with the fashion world, so the luxurious discount lv bags come in handy, especially Louis Vuitton bags, and monogram canvas Montorgueil PM has the most classical monogrammed patterns, which could remind people of the fresh design and dynamic atmosphere.
