The Portland SeaDogs (Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox) announced today that Slugger, the SeaDog mascot, will be running his own marathon to raise money and support for the Two Trials fundraiser.

Slugger is currently getting ready for the SeaDog’s opening day on April 11 and his run for Two Trials is part of his rigorous, spring training schedule. Slugger’s “marathon” will take place on March 17th at the Bay Club in downtown Portland, ME. We Meet SluggerDonning full SeaDog baseball garb, Slugger will attempt to run 5km (3.1 miles) on the treadmill in 26.2 minutes. Maddie and I will be there to cheer him on and hand out gatorade.
