Excellent workout today!  One of the best in quite some time.  My spirits had been down a bit of late, as I had had many sluggish and lackluster workouts in a row.  But today rocked.  I did a 10-mile tempo run at marathon pace with a 2 mile warm-up and cool-down.   I felt relaxed and comfortable for most of the run.   This workout really helps boost my confidence as I embark on the last few weeks of tough training.  Let’s hope I’ve made it out of the valley and I’m moving up toward the peak on April 20th!

I just received a call from John Frank a friend of my and yours. He told me about your daughter. I run and mentor for Team in Training which a fundraising group for the Leukemia Society. In twenty years the Team has raised over 800,000 dollars for Leukemia and Lyphomia research. I received a card in the mail from Team in Training about raising money and running a marathon for Leukemia research. I said to myself that running marathons for many years and it sounds like a good cause. I figured I would do it once and move on to something else. Well, that was 4 year ago and I am still running for the Team. I have never been so moved by such strong and wonderful people has for the people fighting cancer. They truely are an inspiration. I will diffinitely staying up with your website and be praying for your daughter. As you know, there has been great advances in Leukemia research and the success rate is getting better each day.

    God bless,

    Jim Rickards
