I went down to Falmouth this morning to meet up with Sheri and Kristin for their long run.  It was fun to join up with them, as they often have a big group that heads out together.  We did a 12 mile loop together with the group of 8 of us.  Scott and Carey headed off after twelve and the rest of us did another 11 miles.  It was a nice day.  Although we were still decked out in tights, long sleeves, hats, and gloves, I was never cold and actually threw off the hat for the last few miles.  I felt good during the run even after some high intensity work yesterday.  Overall, the entire week went really well.  I’ll hope to string a couple more of those types of weeks together before the taper for the Trials begins.

    Hey Emily!

I just wanted to let you know that this past friday I held a fundraiser for Two Trials in Quincy, MA. I got all my friends together and my mom got together a bunch of teachers that she works with and we went down to a local pottery painting studio. The owner, Brad Backer, offers 25% of the profit to any charity if you organize a group to come in. I have plenty of pictures from the event, and if you’d like me to send some of them to you just let me know. We had a fantastic turnout and ended up with about $1200 in profit for the day, so $300 of that went to Two Trials! Also, my dad has offered to match that, and I will be donating $100 of my own money, so you should have $400 more coming your way soon! I hope you’re all doing well and hopefully I’ll be able to see you guys when you come down to Boston for the Olympic Trials! Give Maddie a big hug for me!

    Love,
    Angela

    Sounds like a great run!

You missed some good running weather and fast times down in New Bedford. BAA blew everybody away in both the men’s and women’s team races.

Emily - Glad to hear the training is upbeat this week - I’m headed out of state to escape the weather and you are out running in it!

I posted the info about your April 3rd event to CONHP at USM - plenty of runners here, maybe we can boost turnout and get people going on THEIR spring training.

    I enjoy following your blog..
