Hi Emily, Brad and Maddie. I saw your story on NBC Nightly News and thought it was very inspiring. I am a marathoner as well and lost my 28 year old sister to breast cancer in 2006. I know how hard it is to watch someone you love battle this insidious disease. I created a company in my sister's memory that promotes products from companies whose proceeds give back to charity. My website and blog get over 200,000 hits a month and I wrote a blog entry on your story tonight (see link below). My best wishes for Maddie's full recovery and an Olympic qualifying run for Emily. Take care. http://uptownliz.blogspot.com/2008/04/olympic-marathon-hopeful-trains-for.html

Hello Emily. You and your darling daughter are remarkable. I know your inlaws, Dick and Bobbie from LCDS,so I know how well-loved and supported you are. I made a gift towards your goal and now I will keep you in my prayers. I believe you and Maddie are winners! God bless you both!

Our prayers are with Maddie and you. Your fundraising efforts are quite impressive. I went online after reading your incredible story in Runner's World and made a donation. I have a 6yr old and an 8 yr old and work part-time. I can't imagine where you find the time to put in the miles that you do. I'm lucky to get 35-45miles in a week. Best of luck on Sunday. I'm running on Monday so I'll be there Sunday AM with a lot of other running friends from Orono, MN cheering you and Maddie on. GOD Bless.
