I had to go and check the website today to see how you finished...maybe not a PR, but an amazing accomplishment nonetheless. Your daughter is definitely so incredibly proud of her mother, not just because you are a world class runner, but because you are a world class mother who is showing her daughter about how to face adversity and how to always continue to follow your dreams. My 14 year old daughter, Morgan, was DX in Feb '06 with a rare sarcoma. After finishing treatment in Aug '06, she has been cancer free. While I am no elite athlete -- this summer I will be participating in a sprint triathlon with my three daughters (Adriana 27, Morgan 14, Sydney 12) to raise funds for sarcoma research. My goal is to finish the race -- I know my girls can, all very athletic -- but similarly we have found this to be a great way to celebrate her health and to raise the much needed funds for this beast we call cancer.
