The 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials Women’s Marathon will be held in downtown Boston and Cambridge, MA, on April 20, 2008, the day before the 112th running of the Boston Marathon. The start will be at 8am.
The race will start and finish at the traditional Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street. The course will consist of two loops. The first will circle Boston Common and Boston Garden, passing the State House, and will be run just once. The second loop will run down Commonwealth Avenue, cross the Massachusetts Avenue bridge, and will feature two out-and-backs on the Cambridge side of the river before returning across the Massachusetts Avenue bridge, running down Boylston Street past the start/finish, and entering the loop again. That loop will be run four times. Source: bostontrials2008.com
