Privacy Policy
We care about your privacy and will never sell, rent, or give your email address or any other personal information about you to anyone for any reason.
There are four cases in which users of TwoTrials.org might enter personal information about themselves:
- Donating money to the Maine Children’s Cancer Program
- Submitting information on our contact form
- Submitting a comment on one of our posts
- Submitting your email address to receive updates
Let’s take those three cases one at a time:
- Donating money to the Maine Children’s Cancer Program: By clicking on the “Donate Now”link on our site, you are taken to a donation page hosted and maintained by the Maine Medical Center <mmc.org>. In this case, any personal information you enter in the course of donating money is collected by Maine Medical Center and governed by their Privacy Notice.
- Submitting information on our contact form: When you submit information using our contact form, you are required to submit your name and your email address. It is also customary for you to submit a contact reason and a comment. When you do so, this information is passed on to the person who it is intended for, generally Emily or our web guy. No one else will see the information you submitted.
- Submitting a comment on one of our posts: Most of the posts on this site, whether a running log, treatment update, or page with more information, give users the ability to submit comments for other users to see. In order to submit a comment, users must enter a valid email address and their name. They have the option of also submitting a url and a comment. The email address will not appear on the site or be shared in any way, but the other three items will, as you should expect, be posted on the internet.
- Submitting your email address to receive updates: When you submit your email address you will receive a confirmation email. Once you have confirmed that you want to receive updates, you will receive emails with site news and treatment logs. Any time you want to stop receiving updates, just follow the link at the bottom of one of the emails. Email addresses collected for updates will not be shared with others or used in any other way.
